Anita Zado, BSN, RN, CVAHP

Anita Zado is the Vice President of Clinical Services at Capstone Health Alliance. Her extensive understanding of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Suppliers, and Member organizations enables her to play a crucial role in managing clinical processes within the Capstone Regional Aggregation Group. Through her leadership, she is able to identify and implement innovative strategies, introduce new technologies, and enhance product and clinical utilization across the network.
Before joining Capstone, Anita had a 25-year career as a registered nurse, specializing in Emergency Room, Interventional Radiology and Oncology care. She transitioned to Premier and held leadership roles, including Director of Nursing Contract Services and Senior Director of Product Development at S2S Global. During her tenure, Anita worked across various specialties, focusing on customer retention, member education, product development, and value analysis.
Anita's professional journey began volunteering with the American Cancer Society, where she served as chairperson and raised cancer awareness in her community. She continues to be an active member of the Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP) and leads Surgical Services and Value Analysis committee meetings for Capstone Health Alliance Members.

Ford is one of Advisory Board's preeminent thought leaders in the area of health system economics and strategy and is the keynote speaker at the annual meetings for Advisory Board's strategy membership. He is well-versed in health care history and the many reform initiatives we have lived through in the past three decades: coverage expansion; vertical integration and physician partnership models; managed care and payer contracting; horizontal integration and system economies of scale; and quality-based payment.
Ford received his BA from Kenyon College, and his MA in Economics from John Hopkins University. Prior to joining Advisory Board, he was a management consultant for the Hay Group and Ernst & Young.
Ford is a health care economist by training and has participated in every major Advisory Board research initiative since 1992.
