As leader of the Global Health and Manufacturing Services (GHMS) division, Emily Kaine provides vision, strategic leadership, and operational focus to translate USP’s end-to-end scientific knowledge and expertise into practical applications and solutions that advance access to quality medicines and strengthen supply chain resiliency.

She oversees the organization’s portfolio of externally funded programs and initiatives that provide targeted technical solutions to advance tailored, science-based solutions to identify, understand and address supply chain vulnerabilities in the United States and globally and to strengthen pharmaceutical ecosystems globally by supporting regulatory authorities, manufacturers and laboratories to reach international standards.

Emily also serves as Executive Partner to USP’s Resiliency Center, where she helps guide USP’s work to bring together supply chain insights, stakeholders, and solutions that address systemic vulnerabilities across the medicines supply chain

As Chair of the Board of Trustees for Pharmatech Associates, Emily supports the board in providing strategic guidance to the company, which is a wholly owned USP subsidiary providing leading edge consulting support to life sciences companies seeking to bring innovative therapeutics to market.

Emily has held senior leadership positions at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, McKinsey and Company, and Carolinas Healthcare System and holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree from Columbia University.
