Jennifer Mendez, PharmD, BCPS, is the Manager of Pharmacy Revenue Integrity at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she leads system-wide efforts to optimize medication reimbursement, ensure payer compliance, and align clinical practice with sustainable financial performance. She brings more than 20 years of experience across inpatient clinical pharmacy, medication utilization management, residency program leadership, and academic teaching, with recent specialization in pharmacy revenue cycle strategy.

In her current role, Dr. Mendez collaborates closely with pharmacy, finance, oncology, and operational leaders to improve charge capture accuracy, mitigate denials, interpret payer policy, and support compliant 340B and CMS billing practices. She is known for bridging clinical expertise with data-driven analytics to drive measurable cost savings while maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory alignment.
Dr. Mendez is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and has held numerous leadership and committee roles throughout her career, including residency program director, assistant professor of clinical pharmacy, and long-standing participation in formulary, oncology, and medication safety committees.
