Michael Schiller, FAHRMM, CMRP is the Executive Director for AHRMM, a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association (AHA). As the organization’s senior leader and subject matter expert, he brings over 35 years of health care supply chain experience to this role. In this capacity, Schiller collaborates with industry leaders including those from the provider and supplier communities, regulatory agencies, standards organizations, industry associations and academic institutions on various supply chain initiatives, advocacy and resiliency efforts, ESG and Global Labor Practices.
Working with AHA policy and senior leadership, Schiller is involved in the development and implementation of the association’s strategic direction and ongoing support to the health care field addressing workforce recruitment and retention strategies, resiliency measures concerning medical supply and pharmaceutical disruptions including AHRMM’s Supply Chain Resource Council. Schiller brings a strong advocacy focus increasing awareness and dedicating resource development in the areas of sustainability, mitigating human trafficking in the health care supply chain and AHA’s Hospitals Against Violence (HAV), as well as advocating for the adoption of data standards and the Unique Device Identifier through AHRMM’s Learning UDI and Health Care Learning Communities (LUC and HCLC respectively).
Schiller holds a graduate certificate in information systems management from the Keller Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Northeastern Illinois University, is a Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) and a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Schiller was awarded the George R. Gossett Leadership Award in 2021.
